Dr. Syrota has graduated with high honors from the Institute of International Relations, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University. He received PhD in the same institute in 2004. Before setting up SDM Partners Dr. Syrota was a partner of a multinational law firm as well was working for the Government of Ukraine. He is leading the practice on various major transactions relating to mergers and acquisitions, investment projects, IPOs and anti-trust law. Dr. Syrota is actively involved in the work relating to preparing drafts of the laws, participates as an independent expert in the government teams working on improvement of the investment climate and economic reforms. Dr. Dzis has graduated with high honours from the Institute of International Relations, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University. He received PhD in the same institute in 2004. Before joining SDM Partners team Dr. Dzis was a partner of a multinational law firm as prior to that – an in-house counsel in one of the major Ukrainian food ingredients company. Serhiy Dzis has substantial experience (more than 12 years) in commercial, intellectual property, and labour law. Mr. Melnyk graduated from the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, Law Department. Mr. Melnyk started his law practice in 1994 in a law form which was mostly focusing on rendering services to the Ukrainian and multinational corporate clients. Then, Mr. Melnyk was working as the head of the legal department for a Ukrainian subsidiary of the big multinational company operating in food industry where he coordinated all legal work including in corporate, intellectual property, contractual, labour, real estate, tax, investment and many other directions. Before establishment of SDM Partners, Mr. Melnyk was working for an international law firm as a partner advising Ukrainian and foreign clients in many areas of law. Mr. Galukh graduated from the Kyiv State University of Law and Economics. Before joining SDM Partners, he was engaged as the Head of Legal Affairs and Senior Legal Counsel of an international oil and gas company established in Ukraine to carry out deep water oil and gas exploration, development and production under Ukrainian's first Hydrocarbon Production Sharing Agreement. As the Head of Legal Affairs, he was deeply involved in matters concerning foreign investment protection, and international arbitration in Stockholm against the State of Ukraine. He also represented the company in later settlement negotiations with the Ukrainian Government. His practice includes extensive experience in corporate, tax and labour law and many other legal issues that concern the business activities of foreign companies in Ukraine operating in oil and gas sector. Dr. Dmytro Morozov Partner of SDM Partners Finance and banking Contact Dmytro Morozov , Brief biography Dmytro Morozov is a Partner of the SDM Partners. He has graduated from Kyiv National Economic University, where he received a PhD in Economics and the Master degree in Law. Mr. Morozov’s combination of the deep knowledge of economics and law from practical and theoretical standpoints made him one of the best experts in the field of finance and banking. Before joining SDM Partners Mr. Morozov was working as a head of legal in a Ukrainian subsidiary of one of the major multinational banks, and, before that, in another reputable multination bank. Prior to joining SDM Partners’ team Ilya Soykis hold senior positions in a number of international companies. Mr. Soykis was Partner at one of the leading international law firms, as well as was Managing director and Board member of Porsche Finance Group, the Ukrainian subsidiary of Austrian Porsche Bank AG, where he was in charge of business operations of the Group, and also worked for Deloitte in Ukraine, where he managed the financial services practice.
