The last competitive day of XXVII World Summer Universiade started for Ukrainian athletes in Kazan
17 July 2013. The twelfth final competitive day of the XXVII World Summer Universiade in Kazan (Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation) has started. Today, July 17, 2013, it will be raffled 9 complete sets of medals. Ukrainian rugby players, swimmers, bullet shooters will finish the competitive relay of many days.

The third meeting of the Ukrainian-American Working Group on Science and Technology, part of the Committee for Strategic Partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, was recently held in Kyiv. The focus was on new opportunities for major projects in nuclear medicine, cosmology, materials science, and biotechnology. Within the terms of reference of the working group, the members saw an exhibition of scientific and technological work by pupils of the Junior Academy of Science (JAS), and familiarized themselves with the activities and achievements of the JAS in Ukraine and on the world arena.
