The mission and operational strategy of Harmelia

The mission and operational strategy of Harmelia

Vision:

To become one of the top 10 agricultural companies in Ukraine focused on profitable growth and 35% plus EBITDA margins at exit.  This will be accomplished through expansion of existing operational farmland and an increase in storage self-sufficiency and capacity.  Additional investment will allow the duplication and diversification of existing farming clusters into other regions of Ukraine.  It will also allow for expansion into new business lines such as vegetable production, controlled atmosphere storage for fruits and vegetables, dairy and beef framing, animal feed production, grain trading, as well as further expansion of existing seed and logistics businesses.

Mission:

Create value and generate attractive returns by consolidating land-use rights into efficient management structures and integrate storage and supply chain assets, and commercial activities to achieve economies of scale and efficient organization in the business.  Operational focus is on profitable grain and oilseeds with further expansion both vertically and horizontally in other sectors which make financial sense and provide operational synergy.

Operational Strategy:

Harmelia’s operational strategy encompasses a seasonal approach to budgeting and cost-control.  It is focused on the proper rotation of profitable grain and oil-seeds and the management of those activities and assets.  This comprehensive approach towards corporate farm and supply chain management and the continuous development of supply and service providers is needed for the successful turn-around of existing assets but also for the proper assessment and integration of future agricultural companies and new sector development.
