Application Process
Each candidate, regardless of age and professional experience, is subject to thorough selection at Gvozdiy & Oberkovich Law Firm. This process consists of several stages and is carried out in the most open and favourable way for an applicant.
First of all, we request applicants to use the electronic form for submission of the resume and to attach a cover letter which will enable us to form a first impression about the specialist. We invite the candidate to the interview on the basis of the information indicated in the resume being in line with be basic requirements of the advertised vacancy. A logical and competent resume containing a detailed description of academic accomplishments, previous experience and professional competences already obtained, substantially increase a candidate’s chances during the selection process.
As a rule, the first interview with the candidate is conducted by a representative of the personnel department. In the course of the interview, the candidate may be given a real legal task and a test to determine the level of knowledge of English. Then the successful candidate receives the opportunity to meet with his/her immediate supervisor or partner. This conversation concerns the scope of tasks and works included in the vacancy, guidance system and team interaction in the company.
The final decision on cooperation with the specialist and his compliance with the principles of our team’s work is taken by us not only in the course of selection, but also during the probationary period of the candidate’s work, which lasts three months. During this period, we actively test his/her professional knowledge and ability to acquire it quickly, along with personal characteristics. The decisive factor for us is not the information indicated in an applicant’s resume, but this person’s actual professional level and his or her capacity to demonstrate it.
