PDP II together with the State Committee for TV and Radio Broadcasting held another webinar for civil servants responsible for providing access to public information Friday, 15 March 2013 18:05 On Friday, March 15, PDP II together with the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine organized another webinar for representatives of the executive bodies at all levels responsible for providing access to public information. During the event the accounting system of public information, developed by civil servants of Kirovohrad regional state administration was presented to the participants. The webinar was lead by Ivan Kondratiev, head of Information and Technology Systems Department, Valentine Grabova, chief of general staff and Ihgor Mazuryk, a chief specialist of the Department of Information Systems and Technology. Read more... “Information Fair 2013” Opens at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Tuesday, 05 March 2013 13:38 March 5, 2013 PRESS RELEASE “Information Fair 2013” Opens at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine KYIV - The Verkhovna Rada Information Fair 2013 opened today with Deputy Secretary of the the Verkhovna Rada Secretariat Dmytro Markov and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission Director Jed Barton cutting a ceremonial ribbon at the Verkhovna Rada Session Building. Information Fair 2013, organized jointly by the Verkhovna Rada and USAID, has become a tradition in Ukraine’s Parliament, providing an opportunity for non-governmental organizations and international donors to present their programs and activities to Ukraine’s legislators. Members of Parliament and various faction and committee staff can use the information in support of their legislative and constituency case work. Read more... "Access to Public Information: judicial practice; personal data" Monday, 04 March 2013 17:32 "Access to Public Information: judicial practice; personal data" - PDP II together with the State Committee for TV and Radio held a webinar for civil servants O n Friday, March 1, PDP II together with the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine organized another webinar for members of the executive bodies at all levels responsible for providing access to public information. The webinar was focused on the Law on Access to Public Information implementation, in particular on judicial practice, and personal data protection. A member of an Expert Council on Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy under the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, the representative of the NGO "Media Law Institute" Ihor Rozkladay led the webinar. Mr. Rozkladay emphasized the international standards of access to public information as well as privacy standards. He also focused on Ukrainian practice of the law implementation, the major violations of the right of access to information. The expert also answered questions from participants. The webinar was intended to contribute to a more effective implementation of the Law of Ukraine "On access to Public Information" by executive agencies, including through further development of the platform "API Law Community of Practice".
