First of all we want to introduce our country - Ukraine.
Ukraine is a country that offers so much to the discerning traveler.  It rewards travelers with hospitable people, magnificent architecture and unique culture.  Tourists can marvel at the cosmopolitan city of Kiev, historical Lviv, the majestic seaside of Crimea and Odessa, along with the snow covered Carpathian Mountains. Most of Ukraine is flat land except for the Carpathian Mountains in the west and the Crimean Mountains in the south.  The highest peak is the Hoverla (2061 m above sea level) and the highest mountain is the Roma-Kosh (1545 m above sea level). Over 70 000 rivers flow through Ukraine, with the biggest being the Dnipro River.  The Dnipro River flows down through the center separating the country into east and west regions and has played an active role in the country's development from prehistoric through modern times. Ukraine's rich soil and moderate climate make it ideally suited to agriculture, and has been known as the "breadbasket of Europe". This is mainly due to its ability to produce vast amounts of grain. Central and southern Ukraine is almost all steppe or prairie land, loaded with very fertile black soil perfect for farming grain. In the east is the industrial capital of Ukraine. It contains huge coal reserves and deposits of iron and manganese ore which have led to heavy industrial development. The most famous cities of Ukraine are Kiev - the capital of the country, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Lviv, Donetsk and Odessa.

Let us to explain that Dnepropetrovsk, Dniepropetrovsk, Dnipropetrovsk are different writtings of the name of the same city. The right writting is Dnipropetrovsk, but most popular in the Internet is Dnepropetrovsk, so we decided to wright Dnepropetrovsk all over this site.  Dnepropetrovsk is situated on the famous Dnipro River, Dnepropetrovsk is Ukraine's third largest city and is considered the main city of East Ukraine.  Dnepropetrovsk is a dynamic and lively city that is also the major centre of high-technology industries, education, machine-building, metallurgy and trade. The city is not only famous for its commercial industry, but also its green hills and deep history. Dnepropetrovsk is a city of parks and squares, interesting architectural monuments and picturesque Dnipro embankments.

Don't be tempted by offers of higher exchange rates from individuals  you meet next to exchange points or just in the streets, they are swindlers. Hotels, some shops and restaurants accept payment by credit card of basic pay systems, but when traveling over the country it is better to use cash. Cash point machines can be found in all parts of the city, operating rules are like everywhere, there is an English dialogue version.  Banks are open from 9.00 till 18.00.

An important place in Ukrainian cuisine belongs to the fish dishes: crucian baked in soured cream, fish kruchenyki, carp stuffed with mushrooms and buckwheat, carp stewed with onion or in soured cream, pike-perch baked with mushrooms and crayfish (lobster).
