Today, we have a situation where the agricultural land involved in informal, so-called "shadow turnover", and all transactions with them are not controlled by the state, often discriminate against the owners of the land - for Ukrainian citizens living in rural areas are more of pensioners. The rent for these areas is extremely low and unscrupulous farmers using low awareness of citizens transact various kinds, that limit the rights of landowners, land takeovers on unprofitable, non-transparent conditions for owners of land shares (land). To address these problems, USAID Agroinvest and Association "Land Union of Ukraine" in June 2012, began a project to create and develop a resource center and web portal for land rights (hereinafter - the Project). The proposed project is to provide awareness and legal literacy owners of land shares (land) on their rights in land, helping vulnerable rural communities and farmers to better understand their rights to the land, to make informed decisions on land which they own or rent, better manage their land and realize opportunities, including being aware of the different types of land tenure in which they may be, the features of these relations and their short and long term consequences.
