Harmelia has applied advanced farming technology and implemented modern financial and management practices to improve efficiencies and to achieve excellent profitability. The group’s main activity is the production of agricultural commodity crops such as wheat, barley, corn, sunflower, soy and legumes. A co-investment vehicle has been launched to allow prospective e investors to invest in Ukrainian agriculture alongside Harmelia Investments Ltd, an SBF IV portfolio company. The co-investment vehicle would allow investors to participate in Harmelia’s success while accelerating the company’s growth and take advantage of investment opportunities in expansion and vertical and horizontal integration of the business. The size of the co-investment vehicle is highly scalable, supported by strong deal flow. This vehicle will expand existing clusters in adjacent regions, followed by replication of the strategy in other Ukrainian regions. Additional investment will be directe4d into new business lines such as vegetable production, controlled atmosphere storage for fruits and vegetables, dairy and beef framing, animal feed production, grain trading, as well as further expansion of existing seed and logistics businesses.
