INGO «Transparent democracy» Alternative content Press release April 5, 2012 saw announcement of results of the «Rating of activity of deputies in Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine» for 2011, which took place in the course of the press conference in the Information Agency «Ukrainian News». Participants of the press conference were: Korolko Valentyn — Head of Supervisory Board of the rating, leading research fellow of Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Ukraine, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor. Bezlyudko Denys — Director of IA «Ukrainian News». Fesenko Volodymyr — Independent expert, political scientist. The aim of research is to show objective, truthful and unbiased information on work of people’s deputies to the society. The subject of research is activity of deputies of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 2011 (VІII and IX sessions, from Feb 01, 2011 till Jan 13, 2012). Such researches are conducted in Ukraine since 2009. Deputies were rated in the following nominations: «Most disciplined deputy»; «Most active deputy in sessional hall»; «Most efficient deputy»; «Legislative initiatives»; «Absentee of year»; «Ghost of year»; «Troublemaker of year»; «Mass media choice». Initiators of research are NGO «Transparent Democracy» and Information Agency «Ukrainian News». Notes to Editors: Main directions of International Nongovernmental Civil Society Organization «Transparent Democracy» are to promote and contribute to development of democratic society in Ukraine, freedom of speech and journalism, as well as protection of moral and spiritual values. Press release March 22, 2011 Kyiv Results of research of activity of People’s Deputies of Ukraine March 22 took place a press conference to make public the results of “Rating of activity of deputies in Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine” for 2010. Aim of research was to show objective, truthful and unbiased information on work of people’s deputies to the society. Subject of research was activity of deputies of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the VI and VII sessions ( during the period from January 01 2010 till January 14 2011 ). In the research was considered information about presence of deputies at VRU sessions, speeches of deputies, and their legislative initiatives, as well as activity of VRU committees. For the research were used data from the official website of VRU, as well as data of written registration of VRU deputies.
