The collection includes thousands of volumes: graduate level textbooks, monographs and reference materials in theoretical economics, finance, and business; subscriptions to several major economics journals. One of the Library’s strengths is a considerable collection of monographs, serials, and statistical data provided by the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. In collection development, emphasis is placed on electronic information. Library holds about over a hundred CDs with electronic versions of economic journals and statistical data. Library offers its patrons access to such online aggregators and article databases as JSTOR, EBSCO, and ScienceDirect. It also has a significant collection of statistical electronic databases from OECD, WIIW-WIFO, Eurostat, and more. Library functions are fully automated, and its online catalog 195.214.199.229:8080 can be searched from any Internet access place. Above 600 registered patrons regularly use the Library services. The library provides full range of services to KSE students, faculty, alumni, applicants and staff, as well as to the participants of the KSE Research Center projects such as international faculty internships, conferences for economic theory instructors, research workshops, and international research projects. The services provided by the library include circulation, reference and information consulting, bibliographic instruction, Internet access. The Library Reading Room of KSE is open to public. It houses public PC stations (connected to Internet, with CD ROM), which are used by library patrons to search online catalog, access online and CD databases, find materials on the Internet etc. The Reading Room is also equipped with printer and scanner. The list of new Library acquisitions is distributed regulalrly via e-mail and placed at a library web page http://kse.org.ua/library/new_acquisitions.htm . KSE Library closely cooperates with other libraries of Ukraine - American Library, KMBS Library and the National Parliamentary Library of Ukraine. KSE Library participates in eIFL (Electronic Information for Libraries) international library consortium and INTAS-sponsored project “Access to Electronic Journals for NES Researchers”.
