International work

The main goal of the international activity of Pryazovskyi State Technical University is to shape its future by getting integrated into a common European space of higher education and to implement the strategies allowing to provide quality training in engineering, economics and humanities which are in the mainstream of today changes.
PSTU has partnership agreements on cooperation with 15 institutions of higher education worldwide in research, didactics of teaching, and in other educational areas:

  • The Baltic International Academy (Latvia)
  • An-Najah National University (Palestine)
  • AGH University of Science and Technology (Poland)
  • Technical University of Lodz (Poland)
  • Technical University of Zielona Gora (Poland)
  • Krakow Academy of Mining and Metallurgy (Poland)
  • Wroclaw University of Technology (Poland)
  • Siberian State Industrial University (Russia)
  • D.Menedeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia
  • Institute of Solid State Physics RAS (Russia)
  • Novosibirsk Institute of Inorganic Chemistry (Russia)
  • University of Cordoba (Spain)
  • Istanbul University (Turkey).

Within the framework of the agreements on cooperation, professors and teachers, post- and undergraduate students:

  • participate in scientific and research seminars, conferences, symposiums and exhibitions;
  • give lectures or block-seminars as visiting professors;
  • complete semester studies’ programs;
  • are enrolled in master programs in dual degree programs;
  • apply for and make arrangements for doing internships with the companies abroad;
  • do joint research with subsequent publications in international journals.

There is also a continuous exchange of information flow in research, academic and institutional areas.
The International Projects Department maintains database of international grants and projects; provides information, language and intercultural support to international projects participants and to the students and teachers of PSTU willing to launch international initiatives; takes care of the delegations from partnership universities; provides consulting on studies and/or internships abroad; conducts training seminars on dealing with paperwork involved in application procedures.
PSTU works in close collaboration with foreign and Ukrainian research centres, academies and educational institutions, to name only a few of them: Academy of Public Administration under the President of Moldavia, The Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation, Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys, University of Illinois at Chicago, Bochum Technical University, Vienna University of Economics.
Faculty members of PSTU maintain working contacts with foreign and Ukrainian companies and businesses, chambers of commerce, e.g. Siemens, Taganrog Inter-regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry , Belarus Iron and Steel Works, VDT Industrie Automatisierung Gmbh, Allen Bradley, Illych Iron and Steel Works.
Student and academic mobility is high thanks to the support of international foundations and associations, such as DAAD, «Study Tours to Poland», ВАYНОSТ, АESEС, Fulbright, CCUSA, Work & Travel USA.
The University is the participant of TEMPUS projects funded by EU Commission and of the projects funded by DAAD.
Rector of PSTU, Prof.Voloshyn, is the member of The Club of the Rectors of Europe since 2008. Membership in The Club of the Rectors of Europe is of a special importance to the University: it offers wide opportunities for establishing new contacts with higher education consortia, networks and associations in Europe and achieving greater compatibility and comparability in the systems of higher education.
PSTU is also an Associated Member of the Black Sea-region University Network (BSUN), founded in 1997 with the aim of developing cooperation and exchange in educational, scientific and cultural spheres between universities and other associations of the member-countries of Association of the of Black Sea Economic Cooperation.
