For Authors

Should a Ukrainian right holder, whether author or publisher, wish to transfer his/her/its economic rights to UACRR for management, he/she/it may turn to the Authors’ Register and Royalty Distribution Department to conclude respective contracts. A non-resident of Ukraine may also assign his economic rights to UACRR, provided, however, that a collective management organization (sister society of UACRR) at his country of residence has no objections in joining UACRR.

The Authors’ Register and Royalty Distribution Department deals with registration of authors’ works (dramatic, dramatico-musical, literary, musical works with or without lyrics, choreographic works and works of arts), signs contracts on management of economic rights of author, calculates authors’ remuneration (royalty) for each author.

Each author’s work has to be registered with UACRR for further being remunerated.

To duly identify those Ukrainian authors, whose works are exploited in the territories of other countries, the information about the authors – first name, last name, pseudonym (s), date of birth / death, information concerning transferred rights – is entered into the World Register of Authors IPI, which is managed by Swiss Authors’ Society SUISA.

Being a member of СІSАC, UACRR (to identify foreign authors and their works for further distribution of royalty) uses CIS-Net, IPI (Interested Party Information System), WWL (World Work List) which has been modified into WID (Works Information Database).

Distribution of royalties is made in accordance with effective legislation of Ukraine and international norms. Payment of royalty for Ukrainian authors is made monthly via banking system, cash desk of the Agency or postal order. Remuneration for foreign authors is remitted to respective sister society in accordance with contract of unilateral or bilateral representation between UACRR and that society.
