The PPA is of great importance in the regional development of Ukraine by introducing the cluster model of development. Since 1999 on the basis of the PPA they have created and maintained The Center of the Social and Economic Investigations of the Podillya Region. Since 2005 one of the strategic priorities of the PPA is promoting the idea of the European integration. From 1998 through 2006 the Association assigned approximately one million greivna, to both social and economic projects in the Khmelnytskyi region. The philosophy of PPA is based upon the fact that it is impossible to attain desirable changes in the economy and administration without using the elements of civil society. This is why economic development and the forming of an open European civil society, must be addressed simultaneously. The variety of Association activities and tasks: Creating and Supporting industrial clusters; Supporting and Developing inter-sector dialog and partnership; Examination of social and economic conditions of the Podillya region; Realization/Creation of educational projects for young people and businesses; Introducing new technologies in education; Contributing to the cooperation of business and educational institutions; Functioning as the center for implementing multi-frontier and inter-regional cooperation, while partaking in spatial programs of the European Union.
