If I can ask you these questions… (1) Do you know that this is our Year of God’s visitation? (2) Has God visited you yet? If you have not experienced God’s visitation, it might be because there has not been enough (proper) preparations; prepare yourself and expect Him this Year! We read in 2 TIMOTHY 2:11-13 : Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself. I am extremely grateful to our God for arranging a meeting with you. This meeting symbolized ‘Crossing the Rubicon’ for me - it irrevocably changed my life. I was 16 year old and did not know the purpose and value of my life. I had no faith in any further achievements for me and I hesitated that God can entrust me with a greater destiny. People who surrounded me turned me down as a child (as an irresponsible teenager) but you, Pastor, accepted me and had faith in me regardless my young age - allowing me to work in the church office and be by your side to learn from you. We believe that God will repeatedly visit each of us in a special way this year. Expect His visitation even in January – the month of God and the Kingdom of God. However, if you want God to visit you, you need to be ready to die to yourself. To die to yourself means to stop seeking things of your own interest, crucify your flesh and your selfish desires for the sake of Jesus’ living in you, and establishing His will on earth. To live with Him you need to die to yourself. 2 Timothy 2:11-13 : Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself. This Scripture tells us about death, not only physical death, but also about the everyday death, which every true believer must endure and experience. This year will be for us the year of God’s visitation . We believe that God visits the people on earth, and that the new year 2011 will be the year of God’s visitation of Ukraine and us as believers and God’s Embassy Church in particular. You know, it is impossible that God visits a person or people and life remains the same. With God’s visitation changes are inevitable: circumstances change, mountains melt, and impossible situations get resolved. Therefore, brothers and sisters let us trust God in this new year, that He will visit us - and it will be a time of special grace and blessings! The year 2011 will be the year of God’s visitation of your home, your family, your personal life, your church, your country! This activity has existed since the beginning of human society, transforming at different stages of its development. Nowadays the role and significance of social work has significantly increased because of complicated economic and socio-political life of the modern man. Can church be indifferent to these emerging social issues? If God “…so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son…” ( John3:16 ), how can Christians dare stay indifferent to this world’s issues and people? Church is the conscience of the world and woe to the church if its voice subsides. Using social work only will not solve the problem, because this activity will not annihilate the source of social evil and injustice. All negative aspects of society result from the human sinful nature, not from individuals and general conditions of social life. Therefore many social issues (if not all) can radically be solved by the name (power) of Jesus Christ and his Church.
