The research data are used for planning and corrections as well as for the analysis of expert estimations, testing of creative materials, estimation of informational campaigns results. 15.07.2007 Social and economic consequences of HIV/AIDS epidemic in Ukraine Center of prospective social research According to the pessimistic scenario, the amount of people dying due to AIDS will exceed 50 000 (including 900 children) by 2014 year in Ukraine. Total budget losses during the next seven years will increase twice and exceed 11 billions UAH. The nearest three years will be determining in the fight against AIDS in Ukraine. The further evolution of AIDS epidemic after 2010 will depend on government efforts: either gradual decreasing of HIV infection or rapid increasing up to 741 000 cases by 2014 year.
