   Research areas::
   – study of peculiarities of epizootic and infectious processes at bovine, swine and avian tuberculosis;
   - study of genetic variability, phylogenetic and evolutionary characteristics of different species of Mycobacteria;
   - isolation of tuberculosis agents with М. bovis and М. avium and atypical origin and selection of proteinogenous strains available for skin-test allergens production;
   - study of biological characteristics of Mycobacteria L-form;
   - development of the system of farm animals’ and poultry tuberculosis eradication and prophylaxis under the conditions of different types of ownership that includes improved methods of diagnosis, prophylaxis and application of highly efficient disinfectants;
   - improvement of existent and development of new methods of identification of mycobacteria cultures of dry nutrient media for cultivation and rapid isolation of mycobacteria from pathologic material;
   – development of synthetic nutrient media and methods of mycobacteria cultivation, including М. paratuberculosis;
   – development of pasteurization regimes for neutralization of tuberculosis agents in milk;
   – development of methods of differentiation of reaction on tuberculin in animals, which are diseased with tuberculosis and sensitized by atypical mycobacteria;
   – practical application of the system of means of prophylaxis and rehabilitation of animals from tuberculosis in Ukraine.

SECTOR FOR DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION OF NUTRIENT MEDIA
   – preparation of decoctions, extracts, enzyme hydrolysates of cattle muscles for the production of nutrient media;
   – preparation of native bacteriological nutrient media, differential and selective for Enterobacteria, anaerobes, Brucella, Listeria, Mycobacteria, Lacto- and Bifido bacteria of pathogenic fungi.
