The Pinchuks received EJAF's prestigious Enduring Vision Award for their significant contributions to the fight against AIDS in the Ukraine and for their generous support of EJAF's grant-making initiatives. For the first time since the ceremony's inception, the award was presented to representatives from Eastern Europe. The honorees for the event also included Jeffrey and Marilyn Katzenberg, DreamWorks Studio producer and co-founder; and Tamara Mellon, founder and chief creative officer of the Jimmy Choo brand. An Enduring Vision is an annual charitable event established by Sir Elton John and David Furnish in 2001 to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation and to recognize individuals who have been generous friends of EJAF and who have made outstanding contributions to the fight against AIDS. Previous recipients of the EJAF Enduring Vision Award include: 42 nd President of the United States Bill Clinton; actress Sharon Stone; rock-star Ozzy Osbourne; and Chopard Co-President Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele, among others. On October 3 rd a charity dinner was held in honour of the 42 nd President of the USA William Jefferson Clinton. The dinner was organized by Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation; special guest President Clinton was personally invited by Victor and Elena Pinchuk to the Ukraine to attend this event. As a result of the ANTIAIDS charity auction, 3 million dollars were raised - the largest amount ever raised for charity in the Ukraine. This was not the only record broken that evening, as the auction also saw the second most expensive lot sold in the Ukraine's auction history. The work ‘In Love' by exceptionally talented contemporary artist Damien Hirst, was sold for 2.4 million USD. There were also unexpected lots donated by Wladimir Klitschko as well as by the guest of honour himself, President Clinton. All proceeds of the auction will be donated to the Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation for an extended collaborative project with the Clinton HIV/AIDS Initiative (CHAI). print version more 03.10.2010 Bill Clinton and Elena Pinchuk called off Ukrainians to the fight against AIDS On October, 3 Bill Clinton - the 42 nd President of the USA and the current humanitarian leader visited Kiev on invitation of Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation. He delivered a speech devoted to the fight against AIDS at Mykhailivska square in frames of the "Battle for the Future" event. He was supported by the famous Ukrainian celebrities - Ani Lorak, Irina Bilyk, Aleksandr Ponomaryov, Jamala, Tina Karol, Natalya Mogilevskaya and Star Factory - 3 participants. The pictures from this event can be found at our site . print version more 30.08.2010 Facebook fans of the Fashion AID project organized a flash mob in Kiev: dance for safe sex Last Sunday of summer three dance flash mobs were organized in Kiev - in the shopping centre "Globus", in Khreshchatyk str. and at the Poshtova square. The Facebook fans of the Fashion AID project united by the idea of safe sex and dance initiated this event. Surprised passers-by were stopping at astonishment and photographed with their mobile phones dancing crowd that suddenly emerged around them. Each out of more than 100 participant of the spontaneous "dance show" had a T-shirt from the Fashion AID collection . The dance stopped in a while as suddenly as it started and the dancing buddies disappeared in the crowd as nothing happened. The announcement was made today in Vienna, where XVIII International AIDS Conference takes place. The United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS invited more than 15 world renowned leaders to join Commission - famous politicians, social activists, doctors, sportsmen, IT celebrities, well-known journalists and advertisers to use their unique authority and influence to lead a social and political action campaign over the coming year aimed at galvanizing support for effective HIV prevention programmes. print version more 19.07.2010 Ukrainian Internet goes charitable due to the fashion and safe sex Today the first Ukrainian web-site, where anyone can buy stylish designed safe sex T-shorts and contribute to the projects aimed to help HIV-positive children, has launched. The huge collection of the provocative T-shirts from the short-list of the Naked Street Fashion contest conducted by Elena Franchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation and dedicated to the safe sex is represented at www.fashion-aid.in.ua . All proceeds will be directed to the projects to support HIV-positive people carried out by the ANTIAIDS Foundation.
