History of Swedbank in Ukraine
  • July 9, 2007 -  in Kyiv Swedbank has completed the acquisition of the Ukrainian bank TAS-Kommerzbank (100% of shares) and it’s daughter bank “TAS-Investbank”. The acquisition agreement between Swedbank and TAS was announced on February 7, 2007  in Stockholm.
  • December 3, 2007 - JSCB “TAS-Komerzbank” officially changes their name to Swedbank.
  • July 23, 2008 the first Bank holding group the “Swedbank Finance” was founded. The founders of this first in Ukraine bank association were the Open joint-stock company Swedbank (parent bank) and Closed joint-stock company Swedbank Invest (Bank-participant). The registered office of the Bank holding group is the location of Parent bank, indicated in its charter (30 Kominterna Street, 01032, Kiev).
  • June 10, 2009 Swedbank in Ukraine becomes Public Joint-Stock Company.
  • June 15, 2009, the Shareholders Extraordinary Meeting of Swedbank Public Joint-Stock Company decided to merge with Swedbank Invest (private).
