[an.htm] in Ukrainian Dear colleagues! Ukrainian Association for Buiatric (UAB) is founded in our state. This will give us the opportunity to enter World Association for Buiatrics (WAB) and European Association for Buiatrics (EAB). We propose to researchers, inspectors, practical doctors of veterinary medicine, students etc., to apply for the detail information about the entry in UAB. Ukrainian Association for Buiatrics is voluntarily, scientifically-public organization of researchers, teachers, students, graduate students, practical doctors, and other specialists of veterinary medicine which is founded for satisfaction of practical and scientific interests of its members in veterinary medicine industry. Term Buiatric - is of Greek origin and means "healing, curing of cows". This term means also the study of infectious and noncontagious illnesses. Buiatric includes researches of distribution, etiology, pathogenesis, diagnostics, treatment and prophylaxis of diseases of cattle and other ruminant animals. World Association for Buiatric was founded in May, 17, 1962 in Vienna, at 2nd International Congress on Cattle Diseases. Every two years WAB organizes International Congresses for Buiatrics in different countries of the world. Congress elects the next country organizer 4 years in advance. Now WAB counts 52 national associations for Buiatric. The main purpose of Ukrainian Association for Buiatrics is assistance in distribution of scientific and practical contacts between the specialists of veterinary medicine in the world, organization of scientific forums and practical seminars for discussion of cattle diseases and other ruminant, help with publication of scientific articles abroad, co-ordination of research work on the problems of ruminant between countries-members of EAB. Important task of UAB is adjusting of contacts with national associations of other countries, which are included in WAB and EAB, and with international organizations. The organ of UAB management is Congress, on which are worked out the totals of activity of UAB and local organizations, perspective directions are concerned and are formulated the basic tasks of work on the nearest years. Local organizations of UAB, are established by Committee and submit to him in all questions. Local organizations must regularly report to the Committee about their activity. Every individual member of UAB has a right to take part in all Associations measures. All members pay annual payment in the size considered by Congress. All payments are used only for the necessities of Association. Members which want to go out from UAB, must send a writing report to a Committee. The forced exception of members passes only by approbation of 2/3 voices of Committee. The executive branch of UAB is Committee, which carries out common guidance by activity of Association. A committee is elected on Constituent Meeting by a term of 2 years. Elections are declared 14 days before to the appointed voting. Adoption of the decision needs presence more than halves of its members, including a president. Every present member of Committee has a right to express his remarks. Decision needs 2/3 voices. The Committee consist of: a president, vice-presidents, scientific secretary, that is appointed by a president, and other members of Committee. The President of Committee represents the interests of UAB. He convenes the Committee meetings and manages them. He is a chairman in scientific measures. If necessary, a vice-president discharges duties of president. Scientific secretary is the executant of Committee. He is responsible for correspondence, external communications and all other businesses are fixed on him by a Committee. Collections of committee accept and claim annual report of president, give the honoured membership, set the sum of payments, make decision about the dismissal of committee and stopping of Association activity. Costs on meetings are defrayed due to payments of participants and sponsors. Lecturers get no fee for their papers but are partly or totally free of charge. Persons who wish to take part in conferences, but who are not the members of UAB, pay all necessary charges fully. Official printing edition of UAB is the "Scientific and technical bulletin of Institute of Animal Biology, UAAS" Information about UAB activity will be published in national journals.
