Kiev Golf Club defined the most active players

On September 25, 2008 there were finals of Kiev Golf Club Cup that began on August 5, 2008. During eight weeks, tournaments among men and women took place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. According to the plan of organizers (Martina Zatko, Club`s Golf Director, is the author of the tournament`s concept), such tournament was to become a good playing base for golfers who are ready to play golf on the regular base. In addition, the Cup had one more practical benefit, as Kiev Golf Club enjoys the right to correct players` handicap according to results in club`s competitions.

Around 50 players participated in these club competitions. Stableford, the format of games, implied both surprises and certain "odds" for newcomers. Each player both competes with other golfers and performs his/her plan, based on one`s own handicap, of playing every hole. That is how he/she maintains or improves his/her sport class.

As a result of eight rounds, Yelena Movchan (211 points) won among women. Tatyana Gerasimenko came the second (196 points) and Olga Hristich – the third (194 points). Three women golfers, who won, were the most active during the whole series and each of them played in 6 contests.

In men`s winning trinity the ratio of played tournaments and total points is a bit different. Vladimir Tsoy gets "bronze" for the result of 194 points in 7 contests. Dmitriy Khristich played two competitions less but gained enough points to come to the second place (200). Dmitriy Dutchin (207 points after 7 tournaments) became a ¹1 winner.

The Club awarded the champions with club sets of internationally known and reputable brand "Jack Nicklaus" and the prize winners – with brand golf clothing.
