Since the beginning of the 19 century Londonskaya Hotel was at the centre of world cinematograph. Sergey Eisenstein and Alexander Dovzhenko wrote scripts to their movies here. World famous producers and actors of the last and present centuries, among which Leonid Utesov and Ljubov Orlova, Nikita Mikhalkov and Marchello Mastroyani, Dzhuzeppe Tornatore and Tim Rot were accommodated in Londonskaya.

Today Londonskaya is being faithful to its traditions and has become a partner of the presentation of a screen version of a novel “Populated Island” by worldwide known fantasists Arcady and Boris Strugackiye. The film producer Feodor Bondarchuk personally presented the film in Sinema City on December 23. Londonskaya accommodated people of art participating in shooting in particular Feodor Bondarchuk, Alexander Rodnyanskiy, Julia Snigir', Vasiliy Stepanov and Peter Fedorov
