Eco-volunteering in KoktebelEco-volunteers needed: joint venture by “Koktebel Jazz” and Koktebel local government!!!! Join us! Koktebel – is a very special place both for organizers of annual Jazz Fest and, hopefully, for all those who await the September to dive into the waves of music and euphoria! This place is unique in its history and nature…. Its atmosphere fills people with incredible sensations and shares its beauty with each and everyone who has been here….even once. To our regrets, the problem of pollution of environment is becoming pressing – with annually increasing number of tourists, the amount of rubbish left by those tourists is also increasing…. We are sad to see this happening in such an amazing spot of Earth! “Koktebel Jazz” organising team is confident that only common action can make a difference! Therefore, we steadily continue to develop our eco-volunteer programme. We hope that each of our guests will contribute to this effort – by throwing their cigarette ends into cigarette bin, by putting their rubbish into the container, by joining our eco-volunteer programme, by supporting and encouraging our volunteers with ideas and actions! This year, besides official programme of tiding up the surroundings and festival spots, and with a support of local government, “Koktebel Jazz” has defined its bigger goal – to help the local government in cleaning up one of the unique resort areas in Koktebel – “Quiet Bay” nature Reserve Park. We invite all those of you, who have care for the future and want to contribute to it, to join us in the common effort of tiding up the “Quiet Bay” beach area on Friday, September 10th and Saturday, September 11th! We need 10 to 15 people each day. Action will take place in the morning, so that all can be back to enjoy Day Concerts of jazz fest. The Local Government will provide a minibus to take us to the place and give us all equipment needed for cleaning up the area. What they expect – is our willingness and good intentions! For those of you, who have their first visit to Koktebel – this will be a great opportunity to see amazing nature spot! We are sure – you will enjoy it a lot! In order to take part in this effort, come and register on Thursday-Friday at the official festival Centre (Voloshyn square) and/or near the main stage. Look for signs or ask Festival Volunteers! Camping Site!Dear Friends! Many of you have asked about camping place and possibility to stay in tents during Jazz Festival. We are happy to tell you that there will be such opportunity!!! «Koktebel Jazz», together with camping-site «HYMYK», offers you an opportunity to stay at the camping-site. It has a capacity to accommodate up to 600 people. While camping – you can freely use all infrastructure offered by the camping-site. Price per person: 20 Ukrainian hryvnas per day (price includes use of showers, toilets and security) Camping-site «HYMYK» is situated in a picturesque place of Koktebel, approximately 30 meters from sea-side and 10 minutes walking distance from “Koktebel Jazz” main stage.
