14.10.2009 III quarter results are inspiring Ukrainian indices closed on a high notation last week. Ukrainian Exchange index gained 10.38% to 1499.45 points (trade volume was $21.4 mln), PFTS index also rose 8.23% to 617.27 points. Thus, UX index have approached closely to 1500 points and PFTS have overpassed new psychological level of 600 points.>>> 710 Kb
06.10.2009 Metallurgy Disappointed The Market As we supposed Ukrainian indeces showed a steep growth over the last week. UX index bounced up by 7.05%, PFTS by 10.71%.
As previously the trading volume was heightened due to heither activity of traders and new capital inflows to the market. Last week ukraininan stocks grew against the headwind of negative world statistics that was mainly due to extreemly low levels of ukrianinan stocks’ multiples and hrivnas’ revaluation. Partial weakening of hrivna on October 1st and 2d drew down the stock market making investors more attentive to global conditions.

22.09.2009 The Pittsburg’s G20 Summit Those who trusted our recommendations and opend long positions at the beginning of the week were able to earn quite a good yoelds. On the back of foreign stock exchanges growth and good internal news, UX index has gained 4% over the last week. Last week MSICH (+9.76%) and AZST (+12.87%) where the traditional main gainers of the market. As we forecasted the last week was very successful for 2-tier stocks. LTPT (+25%) has significantly outperformed the market on the back of its contract for delivery 10 diesel locomotive sections for Russian Railroad. KVBZ (+19.15%) was another market outlier. On wednesday Kriukov Car Building started to produce 30 cars for Kiev’s subway. The bound of KVBZ and LTPL pushed up the stocks of another car plant – SVGZ (+15.18%). >>> 208 Kb
15.09.2009 More Haste – Less Speed Though some market participants expected indices’ retracement last week, world markets optimism drove Ukrainian indicators up with gains seen on five sessions in a row. The advance came despite a relatively slow week, with only a handful of earnings and economic reports. Investors showed increased risk appetite, while the situation remained uncertain in the long-term as well as medium-term prospect.
