Application and Evaluation Process: Summarized below please find the planning format that we suggest you develop your business plan. The proposal may be written in Ukrainian or Russian, although the preferred language is English.

  • Executive Summary – Statement of Purpose:
  • Description of your business concept and the target market for the new product or service;
  • Product information;
  • The amount and purpose of an investment request, including itemized information on the proposed use of investment proceeds);
  • Current stage of business (developing or expansion of an existing business);
  • Management team;
  • Summary of key anticipated financial results and other benefits.
  • Business History:
  • The year your business was founded in and its progress to date;
  • Brief description of its founders (please stress their relevant experience and their roles in the company);
  • Ownership structure and legal status (please provide the name of all owners, including any individuals or entities with more than 5% ownership stake in the company);
  • Summary of any past investments/loans;
  • Products or services the company has developed or marketed and the success of each.
  • Products/Services:
  • Detailed description of the present or planned products manufactured/services offered;
  • Price structure;
  • Competitive advantages: why your products/services will be used in preference to others.
  • Market/Customers:
  • Description of your target market: present size and growth potential; historic, current and forecasted trends; any special characteristics, if applicable (e.g. seasonal, cyclical);
  • Description of direct customer and end user (list major customers, if applicable). Indicate if for export or domestic sale. If domestic, regional or national focus;
  • Description of how your products/services satisfy customer needs.
  • Competition:
  • Description of your main competitors (local and foreign), including a summary of how their operations are similar and dissimilar to yours;
  • Description of your competitive position, i.e. what percent of the market you have now;
  • Short analysis of prospective new competitors.
  • Marketing:
  • Pricing policy and strategy;
  • Method of selling and distribution, including sales compensation plan;
  • Advertising, promotion, public relations;
  • Geographic penetration.
  • Manufacturing and Operations:
  • Summary of the manufacturing process, including information on existing plant and equipment, as well as proposed new equipment;
  • List of raw materials used and suppliers of those materials (differentiate between domestic and foreign sourcing);
  • Labor/employee situation.
  • Management:
  • Description of qualification and experience of key members of the management team, including educational background, relevant skills, number of years in the industry, and with the company, significant awards (please include job descriptions, compensation data, equity interests and detailed resumes on all key management executives, if possible);
  • Description of organizational structure (please include an organizational chart if necessary);
  • Outline of planned management structure, including detailed job descriptions and minimum qualifications for each unfilled slot.
  • Financial Projections:
  • Summary of the company’s past financial statements (balance sheets, profit and loss statements and statements of sources), if available, for up to three years;
  • Current financial statements;
  • Projected summary income statement, cash flow, and balance sheet based on proposed investment;
  • List of key assumptions used in calculations.
  • Supporting Information/Appendices:
  • Marketing studies;
  • Photographs of your product;
  • Letters of intent from potential customers;
  • Letter of recommendation (relevant to your product or service of the operation of your business);
  • Contracts or other legal agreements pertinent to your business;
  • Special awards or recognition (relevant to your business itself of your business skills).

Once a business plan has been submitted and received, you should expect an initial response within 4-6 weeks. A proposal may be declined by EEGF at any stage in the review process. Companies will be informed whether a proposal has been accepted or declined. EEGF will make its best efforts to maintain the confidentiality of all business plans and conversations pertaining to the business plan. Once submitted, the business plan becomes the property of EEGF.
