As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Verkhovna Rada on September 18 passed a draft law at the first reading to simplify taxation on wholesale markets of farm produce.
MPs Serhii Tereschuk, Kateryna Vaschuk of the Bloc of Lytvyn faction, MP Ivan Kyrylenko of the faction of the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko, and MP Mykhailo Polianchych of the Our Ukraine - People's Self-Defense Bloc faction, who are the authors of the draft law, believe that the creation of a system of wholesale markets of farm produce will allow bringing out of shadow 20-30% of farm produce of the small- and medium-agribusinesses. The creation of the system of wholesale markets of farm produce will also secure holding of open trades between producers and consumers and result in fair prices for both sides, in the opinion of the MPs.
