Bringing into service the third exhibition pavilion resulted in the increase of the amounts of spring exhibitions by 10-15% compared to spring 2007. Now the organizers can expand the participation of companies in traditional and popular projects and introduce new exhibition topics.

In the exhibition schedule of the first half-year 2008 11 new exhibitions appeared:

  • FURNEQUIP the only exhibition in Ukraine for furniture producing equipment, organized by Kyiv international contract fair JSC;
  • LOGISTICS the exhibition for services, technology and information-telecommunication 1 systems in logistics, organized by Euroindex Company;
  • PERSONAL EXPO the exhibition for staff management, organized by Formula Uspekha Company (The Success Formula);
  • 4 Terminals a new project  by TechExpo Company, dedicated to  technology and equipment for terminals of air and land transport ;
  • WIRE & WIRE PRODUCTS, PIPES & FITTINGS, SHEET METAL, SURFACE ENGINEERING the complex of industrial exhibitions by  TDS Expo Company;
  • Beauty Profmeeting Ukraine scientific-practical forum for aesthetic medicine specialists, a joint project by CosmeticExpoMedia and Aesthete companies.

Currently, several prime exhibitions have been shaped at KyivExpoPlaza and have become not only a visiting card of Ukraine, but also of the whole Eastern-Europe region. Among them are:

  • Building & Architecture one of the leading exhibitions of the Ukrainian building market. Every year the exhibition is attended by over 800 companies from 16 counties of the world.
  • elcomUkraine power engineering, electrical engineering, energy efficiency the leader of the  electrical engineering market in the Eastern-Europe;
  • EEBC Telecom & Broadcasting Eastern-Europe Telecom and Broadcasting exhibition and conference;
  • InterCHARM the exhibition for perfumery and cosmetology, in terms of market size occupying the second position after the same event held in Russia and top position among the exhibitions with the same topic in the Eastern-Europe.  

As a centre for business contacts, KyivExpoPlaza initiates training programs for representatives of exhibitions industry, business tourism sector and event-based marketing.

In spring 2008 KyivExpoPlaza exhibition centre participated in the following events:

  • UFI European Committee meeting, the materials of which were used as a basis for the authors article on cooperation of the exhibition and congress activity published in four Ukrainian periodicals: Otdel Marketinga (Marketing Department), Business Travel, Kalendar Vystavok I Yarmarok (Exhibition and Fair Calendar), Generalnyy Director (Director General).
  • VI All-Ukrainian business forum for specialists of event industry Vdala Podiya (Successful Event) with a report The requirements of contemporary event-companies to event sites, summarizing theoretical knowledge and the experience of KyivExpoPlaza in dealing with events of various kinds. The audience was offered a seasonal event map to help event-managers find a required site in advance. The major site characteristics to be considered first in the course of search were also named.
  • III International conference MICE Ukraine 2008 with a report The formats of business events. This was the first time that KyivExpoPlaza performed at the conference dedicated to business tourism development in Ukraine. Business event organizers, representatives of travel agencies and hotel sector familiarized with the algorithm of business event preparation from choosing location to organizing all concomitant details: the conference-hall area calculation, furniture arrangement, catering work, business and cultural program organizing.
  • Moreover, Vystavky Kyyeva (Kyiv Exhibitions), the periodical of the exhibition centre, and the film   dedicated to the fifth anniversary of KyivExpoPlaza became the participants of the contest    The Best Corporate Media of Ukraine, the final of which will be held in October

KyivExpoPlaza exhibition centre participates actively in surveys and discussions of the prospects for the development of exhibition market in Ukrainian and Russian periodicals.  In the first half year 2008 the information provided by KyivExpoPlaza was published in 17 Ukrainian newspapers and magazines (not including those marked with for publicity purposes note), only as one of the experts of the sector.

Having overcome the infancy period, today exhibition business requires new approaches to event organizing and to constant renewal of service list. However, despite the fact that exhibitions area labour-intensive and time-consuming marketing tool, there is no alternative to them. And if exhibitions are called the mirror of economy, exhibition centres can be called the indicator of all economic changes. Here   the latest scientific and industrial studies from different scopes of activity are concentrated.  This place attracts specialists from all regions of Ukraine and 52 countries of the world. The annual increase in the number of participants proves that representatives of different jobs, different countries, different cultures need a common territory for communication and business development, and KyivExpoPlaza gives such opportunity.
