On October 27th,15 Muskie alumni gathered at Trypillya Restaurant and Conference Center just south of Kyiv, Ukraine. The goal of the workshop was to bring together recently-returned Muskie alumni with older alumni and professionals to discuss career development and networking. |

Seminar Outlines the History and Use of Business Ethics
The alumni training “Business Ethics” on October 26 brought together alumni of IREX and Fulbright programs.The training was conducted by Professor Ed Cocks, a university lecturer on business ethics. The training’s goal was to define and outline the ethics of business and interpersonal relations in society. |

Application for 2009 Muskie Fellowship Program Available. Deadline, October 31, 2008.
The Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Fellowship Program (Muskie) is a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the United States Department of State, and administered by IREX. Muskie provides opportunities for Master’s level study in the United States to citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. Participants are selected through an open, merit-based competition. |

Application for Alumni Small Grants Available-Deadline October 15, 2008
The 2008 ECA Alumni Small Grants Program (ASGP) is designed to support the professional development of ECA alumni and promote community development. Alumni may apply for a grant of up to $3,000 to conduct a community development or professional development project. The project time period is ten months. |
