Souveniers

Souveniers On Andryivski Spusk

Andreevski Spusk is the mecca of souveniers. At weekends, the street is lined with small stands where Ukrainian people display and sell their arts or collections. At the top of the street it is mostly painters that lay out their mastpieces on the pavement. When you go further, you will pass stands with hand made jewellery, pottery, knitted scarves and hats, toys and much more. There are not only Ukraininian souveniers but also the symbols of the Soviet Era such as big furry hats, old watch and medals decorated with the omnipresent red star. These items, old books, LPs and so on are sometimes things that people kept or inherited and try to sell them to make a couple of Hryvnas. In general the souveniers on Andreevski Spusk are cheap and you can find real treasures sometimes.

Tsum Department Store

In the Central Department Store on Kreshatyk take the escalators to the first floor and you'll come up to the right place. There is stand with souveniers including the local shirts, table cloths, wooden spoons, matryoshkas and other traditional Ukrainian crafts.

Kreshatyk

Between the Grand Gallery Mall and the Bessarabka Market, there is a smal shop hidden in a corner that is full of traditional Ukrainian pots, ceramics, national symbols and other little decorative pieces. The prices are unbelievable low and the choice is huge. Sometimes you can see the artists coming in with their latest pieces too.
