Course Description
This course provides an overview of the whole Meridian 1 range from Option 11C through to Option 81C and the skills and techniques that are required to progress through the Meridian 1 curriculum path, incorporating the install and maintenance of the small range of Meridian 1 switches.
Duration: 5 days
Target Audience:
This course is aimed at installation, maintenance and support staff that will have an involvement with systems within the Option 11 range.
Pre-requisite Courses: None
Pre-requisite Skills: Knowledge of telecommunications
Objectives:
Upon successful completion of the course the student will be able to:
- Identify the range of Meridian Products.
- Describe the Common Equipment that provides networking, memory and processing
- Describe the network equipment that provides call switching, system tones and trunk capabilities
- Describe the Peripheral Equipment that provide line and trunk capabilities
- Identify and interpret Directory number blocks and terminal number blocks
- Log in and out of the Meridian 1
- Log in and out of the Meridian 1
- Print and interpret unused units and card slots
- Print and interpret systems packages
- Print and Set the Time and Date
- Describe Pulse code Modulation
- Use system documentation
- Use Maintenance Overlays

- Install mounting brackets, cabinets and connecting cables Option 11
- Install and replace cards
- Print the database and change models
- Correct System faults option 11
