There are no grounds for the current parliamentary coalition to be disbanded, parliamentary speaker Arseniy Yatsenyuk said today. Although the coalition does not have a majority, it will cease to exist only if the propresidential Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defence bloc and progovernment Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc factions leave it in their entirety, he said. Yatsenyuk believes the coalition still exists as this has not happened yet.

The opposition Party of Regions has tabled a bill on the neutral status of Ukraine.
In accordance with the bill, as a neutral state, Ukraine should not join any military blocs, permit the deployment of foreign troops on its territory and engage in defence-related cooperation with countries involved in armed conflicts.
