Church Building
Greetings, Dear Friends!
We express our sincere gratitude to everyone who is participating in the construction of the Ukrainian Spiritual Cultural Center (USCC) in Kiev city.
The proclamation of independence and victory of democracy in the presidential elections of 2004 has changed the developments in the Ukraine significantly. The growing of national self-consciousness is characteristic for the developments in contemporary Ukraine.
For many ages the Christian church has carefully preserved what was created by talented Ukrainians. It was the center of culture, arts and enlightenment.
The establishing of an independent Ukrainian government helped towards the awakening of our people. Real and spontaneous freedom of the mind became one of the most important factors of national renewal in the Ukraine. The Ukrainian people must keep in mind a clear understanding of the necessity to restore and renew national cultural and spiritual values.
A high level of spiritual development in society is absolutely necessary to maintain successful political and social-economical reforms.
The purpose of the Christian church is to revive faith in God in the hearts of today’s and future generations, to restore contacts with the spiritual traditions that were broken in the period of totalitarianism and to ‘put on the new nature, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness’ (Ephesians 4:24)
The main goal for mankind is to worship the Lord, show people His love, live by biblical principles and testify about Jesus the Lord!
We believe that the Ukrainian Spiritual Cultural Center (USCC) will become not only the pride of national architecture and one of the sightseeing places in Kiev, but also the proof of God’s movement that began in our country and will spread out into the whole world, year after year.
We would like to share some of the victories God has given us, while preparing construction of USCC:
1. In April 2004, after many rejections, the Kiev state authorities granted us the land (2.62 hectares) for the construction of the USCC. 2. In March 2005, the mayor of Kiev, Mr. A. Omelchenko, signed the rental contract for the land. 3. In June 2005, we received from the architect building plans and designs for the USCC.
Today we are in the first stages of this big project and we know that God is with us and with His help we can do it.
In the coming two years, we will have to do the following steps of the construction: - Specifications - Projection - Expertise - Project approval - Compilation of engineering documents - Obtain the construction order - Building construction - Final completion and implementation
It may look easy, but in fact each of the above steps is hard work yet to be done. So, we appeal to everyone who has it upon their hearts to support and participate in this big project, to contact us.
We will need: - Your Prayer support - Your piece of advice - Your Financial support - And any other assistance you can give
Financial support is of primary importance. For each of the above steps in construction we need 500 000 US$. The total construction cost is estimated at 15,000,000 US$.
We appeal to people who wish to support this construction project financially! Below, there are various ways of how to transfer funds for the construction of the USCC.
From now to 1 October 2005, we’re collecting money to pay for the projection work, which will cost 500,000 US$.
Please let us know if you have decided to support us, so we can put in our records your name as one of the people who supported this project. A Hall of Fame and Memory will be opened in the USCC building especially for the purpose of listing all the names of people who participated in building this House of God in Kiev.
In this section, we will continue to publish updated information on the construction process. Be the one to create history on earth! Support the construction of the USCC building!
