«Eric's Oktoberfest Returns for another Year»

German restaurateur Eric Aigner once again presents his Oktoberfest party at Spartak Stadium – and just in time to match the start of festivities in Germany, home of the traditional Oktoberfest.

Aigner, who hails from Chemnitz in the former East Germany, has seen the popularity of his now-third annual Oktoberfest celebration rise, and it’s not surprising. His formula for success is simple: lots of great imported German beer, weisswurst and brat-wurst, sauerkraut, potato salad and, of course, lots of music and dancing.

Eric’s Oktoberfest compares quite favorably to the Bavarian variety: beer, an outdoor venue in the chill of early autumn, polka music and near-complete abandon among the revelers. Don’t be surprised to see a few people drink to their heart’s content and strip down to their skivvies.

For those of you who still have beer steins left over from past years, bring them down and they might just fill them for you for around Hr 20. Those without can deal with the plastic pint glasses, which will otherwise be used. Pay Hr 15 or thereabouts for a fill. In any case, Oktoberfest 2005 will be a beer-lover’s paradise and, like the beer, it will soon be gone, so don’t miss it. It’s a fantastic way to start the weekend. Prost!
