On November, 19-20, 2007, the first international forum organized for the European business tourism and events market (5-star hotels, travel and events agencies) will be held in Ukraine at the Premier Palace Hotel. Representatives from nine countries will take part in the forum: Bayer from Germany (one of the greatest MICE-markets in Europe) and hoteliers from Belgium, Great Britain, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Turkey, Croatia and Ukraine.
Great Hotels Organisation (www.ghotw.com) is organizing the event in cooperation with the Premier Palace Hotel.
This will be the first forum of its kind to be held in Ukraine. It will help hotels that are members of Great Hotels of the World to meet with travel agents, corporate travel and meeting planners from Germany, and enable establishment of new contacts between European business tourism operators. It will help others discover Ukraine as a new tourist destination.
“We have identified a growing demand for venues in Kyiv from European MICE buyers, which has led to the decision to host our first forum in the city,” said Richard Barnes, chief operating officer of Great Hotels Organisation. “GHO and the Premier Palace Hotel are delighted to be able to showcase this up-and-coming destination by bringing the best buyers from Germany, one of the biggest MICE markets in Europe to experience it.”
In addition to meetings and business negotiations for participants of the forum, excursions are being prepared that will allow guests to see Kiev in all its beauty, and help guests see the city as an interesting tourist destination. “
This forum is an important event for Ukraine’s tourism industry,” said Alexander Lytvyn, general director of the Premier Palace Hotel. “We see this event as a promotion of Kyiv and Ukraine in the European tourism community. That fact we were chosen to help organize the first such forum in Eastern Europe is a confirmation that Kyiv is meeting European standards for luxury hotels. I’m sure it will help create a more favorable impression of our country.”
