During the flight, there was held press-conference for up-coming summer tour stops on the bank of Danube. The happening was sponsored by “Red Bull” as the rarity itself belongs to the Flying Bulls. Douglas DC-6B is a plane of uncommon history, which goes through not one continent, not one owner and not one thousand of passengers from President to Miss Universe. Machine was built in far away 1958 and soon at Tito request was transformed into de luxe class plane, which he used for his honor guests and himself up to 1975. The next VIP-owner of Douglas DC-6B was Zambia President, after whom the plane was used in Western Africa for tourist purposes up to 1999, when civil disturbances at Angola border disabled any business. In year 2000 the Flying Bulls bought it and flew it to Salzburg, where it underwent restoration, which took 3 years. At the moment the board is equipped with modern electronics, saloon is absolutely new, but keeping its historical value and style, and the whole plane itself is in better condition, than it had been at the day of its factory release, as at restoration it was disassembled and assembled entirely. Flight participants could appreciate beauty of the history machine and also experimentally check all the difficulties of physical adaptation of a human being to the flight on a non-reactive plane. We thank Hubert von Goisern and the Flying Bulls for the trip into the World history and the opportunity of getting to know the moving piece of it. This action is a foreword to the main happening to take place this summer – common performances of Hubert von Goisern and Haydamaky at the stage on the water of Danube. “Linz Europa Tour 2007-09” convoy will make two stops in Ukraine - Izmail on the 26th of July and Vilkovo on the 27th – to enrich the luggage of the cultural expedition.
