Now that you have met the woman of your dreams and it is time to start a new life how do you get her home? Unfortunately, she can not just get on the airplane and go home with you.

Tourist visas are not issues to pretty young Ukrainian ladies. The US immigration department knows that if a Ukrainian lady comes to the US as a tourist she WILL NOT go home. Because of repeated abuse of the tourist visa, if your lady is from the Former Soviet Union she is not going to get anything other than a fiancée visa.

Applying for and getting a fiancée K-1 visa is a long and complicated process but it can be done. After returning to the United States you will need to provide INS proof of US citizenship, proof of termination of prior marriages, proof of meeting, green card photographs, financial data, and a petition.

After the INS processes your paperwork it becomes your girlfriends turn to supply her paperwork, go have a medical examination and finally an interview.

The whole process will usually take between 3 and 6 months. It will probably seem like forever.

After your fiancées arrival in the US you will have 90 days to get married or she will have to return home.
