Roaming

What is roaming?

MTS subscribers that have activated the service in international roaming may call and receive calls using their mobile phone in other countries the same way they do it in Ukraine.

It is called Roaming, which is automatic in the most cases: when you are abroad, you simply turn your phone on and have connection! It is possible owing to MTS roaming-partners, which work worldwide.

Roaming is a non-stop automatic service to a subscriber who travels from one operator network to another.

All you need to use international roaming is positive balance on your account (if you are contract MTS subscriber more than 6 months).

To open international roaming, please, contact MTS Service Center 24 hours around:

  • from a mobile phone at the number 111;
  • from a stationary or mobile phone at the number 8 044 240 0000 (call cost in accordance with the chosen MTS tariff).

How does roaming work?

Turn your phone one right after you arrived abroad and the telephone will find the most powerful network automatically. Only sometimes you will have to do it manually, using telephone menu.

In the countries where MTS has agreements with more than one operator, you can choose the network which you like more or which provides better prices.

MTS increases roaming partners network by making two-sides agreements with foreign operators. It gives MTS subscribers an opportunity to use their phones in other countries and subscribers of these operators – in Ukraine.

One number – one world

Where ever you go you do not have to change your number. Where ever you are in our global roaming network, your relatives, friends and colleagues will call you at your constant mobile number – the call will be re-addressed automatically.

In order to make call from abroad, dial international access number before the number you call: + 380 < area code or network code within Ukraine without zero in front > < phone number >

For example, in order to call Kyiv, Ukraine, dial +380 44 ÕÕÕ ÕÕÕ, which is:

  • + is a sign which is used in mobile telephones of GSM standard to substitute access code from any country;
  • 380  – international code of Ukraine;
  • 44 code of Kyiv;
  • ÕÕÕ ÕÕ ÕÕ telephone number of a subscriber.

During your international trip contact MTS Service Center for help 24 hours around at:

  • from a mobile phone at the number 111;
  • from a stationary or mobile phone at the number +380 50 508 1111.

Call for the noted numbers is free from MTS network (from Ukraine) but from abroad such a call will coast according to international prices of a local mobile operator.
