he goal of the Access to Credit Initiative (ATCI) is to assist Ukraine's government and private sector in making key investments in the legal, administrative, and financial infrastructure that contribute to establishing stable and sustainable long - term economic growth; and to provide the Ukrainian and Moldovan people with increased options for accessing credit by developing sound financing and risk assessment strategies in accordance with world standards of practice.
ATCI is a five-year multi-faceted project funded by USAID and implemented by The Pragma Corporation. The project continues through fall 2009 in Ukraine and October 2008 in Moldova.
The project can be described as engaging in "developmental" investment banking and benefits from strong leadership, a clear vision and continuity of purpose, approach, and personnel.
