Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ratified the Agreement and the President of Ukraine signed the "Law of Ukraine On ratification of Agreement (in the form of Exchange of Notes) between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of Japan on extension of loan for financing of Boryspil State International Airport Development Project"

In accordance to the Agreement conditions crediting is achieved in Japanese yen for the sum to 19 billions 92 million yen (tentatively 178 million $) with the fixed interest rate of one–and–a–half percent of annual to 30 years. First ten years compose the period, during which pay only the percentages on the credit. Repayment of credit will be achieved from 2005 up to 2010. In this case the maximum sums of repayment of credit are fallen to the seventh– ninth years. Credit will liquidate only since 2015 for a period of 20 years by semiannual payments by the equal sums, which in the dollar equivalent will be 4,3 million $.

The total cost of the Project is 25,457 billions Japanese yen or 253 million $. Period of the return of funds – eight years. Internal rate of economic profit – 12,6%. The credit of the Japanese Bank for Foreign Cooperation for the sum of 178 million $ is drawn for financing 75% of the cost of Project. The delivery of 25% of cost of the Project closely to 60 million $ finances due to own means of State Airport "Boryspil".

The source of the return of credit is income from the economic activity. Ministry of Finances conducted the estimation of compensability, which confirms possibility of airport to proper time and fully conduct calculations of the credits.

As told the Minister of Economy Sergiy Terekhin, the successful realization of the Project and creation of transit airport for the transfer passengers on the base of "Boryspil" will render assistance to the development of economy of the country, international business and to tourism. Because of thiswill be conversion of Ukraine to the aviation transit state.

The volumes of the aviation transportation of the passengers through the "Boryspil" constantly grow.

The millionth passenger that had flight # 995 to Barcelona, was accompanied with the honors from the Airport 4th of May. And today statistics registered, that 16th of June at 14:35 pm arrived the passenger number 1 500 000 by flight # 33 of "International Airlines of Ukraine" from L'viv!

Last year such volumes of passengers were achieved in the middle of July. News for period 18.03.05 – 16.06.05
