Since mid-February, the Premier Palace Hotel has offered complimentary butler service to its guests staying on the Executive Floor (7th and 8th levels of the hotel) in Suite Executive or better accommodations.
The Premier Palace Hotel’s butlers provide a wide range of services starting with personalized pick-up at the airport, hotel check-in, unpacking, tea and coffee service etc. They will also expedite orders from any of the hotel’s bars and restaurants, handle secretarial needs, provide concierge services including making shopping, translation or sightseeing arrangements. At the end of the guest’s stay, the butler will handle check-out and provide return travel to the airport. And, of course, they follow-up with guests after they have safely returned home.
The hotel’s butlers have been trained by LHSM, Ltd. (Zurich). The training encompasses the various duties of a butler, including food and beverage service, knowledge of wine, tea, coffee, cigars and spirits, the fine art of folding clothes and packing suitcases, etiquette, and protocol. Great emphasis is placed on the importance of non-verbal communication.
The hotel’s butler staff includes 14 persons, half of them women. They range from 22 to 43 years old, and speak from 1 to 4 foreign languages.
The staff is engaged in in-service education that includes lectures on topics including the history of Ukraine – information necessary to help guests better understand and appreciate our spectacular country. |
