Enclosed please find information materials on EAST EUROPEAN STUDIES SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM at the University of Warsaw which will be the 2nd edition of this Program. We invite candidates from the former Soviet Union and communist bloc countries to apply for a total of 5 scholarships. We already know, after the 1st edition (25 scholarschips) that it is one of the most significant, specialized programs of its kind in Poland. Thus, it is of great importance to us to seek high quality candidates from your country.

This program will begin in September 2002. We ask that you announce it to any potential candidates you might know of, and that you pass on information about it to your colleagues and students. Qualified candidates should apply to us directly.

Information materials containing all necessary details on the program have been distributed among a number of academic institutions and organizations, and are also available in all Polish diplomatic posts, as well as on the University of Warsaw Internet Web-site.
