More than 160 with total area mapped over 400 sq.km In which countries have I mapped? Total in 11 countries of Europe, Asia and South America: Austria, Belgium, Chile, Croatia, Italy (small part along Swiss frontier), Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine Top level competition held on my maps: - World Masters orienteerig championship, Austria 2006; -World military championships in Croatia (1999), Austria (2002) and Netherlands (2004); - European military championships in Croatia (1998) and Belgium (2000); - Word cup in Ukraine: Truskavets (2000); - nationals championships in all countries mentioned above and more international competitions Which languages do I speak? Ukrainian, German, Polish, Russish - fluent. English - beginner. I understand very well Croatian and Slovenian. I have some experience. My Turkish vocabulary is about 400 words. I’m also able to decently understand other slavic languages (Bul, Cze, SVK...) O-mapping seminars I have organised 5 mapping seminars in 2002 (Austria), in 2003 (Turkey), in 2005 (Belgium) and in 2006 (Chile) What I don't enjoy doing? Correcting old maps. Usually I will make new maps only. My position in o-mapping One orienteering map - one mapper Summer: again Austria This time two new maps will appear at HSV Pinkafeld and HSV Villach. First area Sankt Lorenzen is located in the Alpes at heights 800-1100 m. It is pleasant, that a slope rather flat, and area pleasant for orienteering. As a basis are used orthophoto with resolution 0,25 m/pixel. Practically in any point of a map I approach on the car and there are to a place of drawing no more than 10 minutes. The second area St.Jakob is located in the south of Austria near to border with Slovenia. The population talks here on slovenian and I well understand this language. Interesting erosive area, excellent accommodation near to a map - from hotel up to a wood of 700 meters. On a mountain bicycle I reach in a distant point of a map for 15 minutes. Checking maps and distances before WOC 2007 in Kyiv In May visit SEA IOF Oivind Holt and assistant Havard Tveite has come to the end. In conditions of unforeseen heat for May check of maps and distances of the WOC 2007 has come to the end. Spring 2007: Karst in Southern Belgium! On March, 20th in vicinities Couvin begins the new project. The area is located in a southern part of Belgium. By preliminary descriptions and photos of the organizer of project Fabien Pasquasy, the area will be interesting: a karst with rocks and stones. January-March 2007: mapping for 10-th Balkan championship and "Istanbul 5 days" orienteering On January, in vicinities of Istanbul has finished surveying of maps for 10-th Balkan championship which takes place in September of this year and for Istanbul 5 days orienteering . All maps are placed in the European part ( more ...) Autumn 2006: "Nax" - one more new project near Sion It is another project in Switzerland which was surveyed in Autumn 2006. This area placed on opposite mountainside from " Thyon2000 ". There is forest everywhere between 1300 m and 1900 m with interesting contour details, higher semiopen and open area. April 2006 : mapping for World military championship 2007 Before 3 times I drawed the maps for Word military championships in 1999, 2002 and 2004. After 6 years break I come back to Croatia and begun the new project in interesting area near Zagreb. Chile: mapping and map clinic in March 2006 IOF has organised in March 2006 map clinic in Temuco (Chile). During 4 days together with Thomas Gloor (Switzerland) we leaded a map making course for 20 people, helped in organisation Chile orienteering championship. After clinic I made new map near volcano LLaima with area 2 sq.km. My most beautiful map Edremit 2003, TURKEY. This map was used in May 2003 for the regional European military championship My biggest map was made on the beautiful terrain of "Crans-Montana" in Switzerland. This map with area about 17 sq.km was mapped in 1999-2006. . The best map of last year Trockener Steg. Switzerland. This map was used for the Swiss o-week in July 2006 My most complicated map "Crni lug" used for World Military Championship-1999, Croatia. Some part of the map needed up to 15 days per sq.km! My highest map "Kleines Matterhorn" , Switzerland. The highest orienteering map in Europe (2900 - 4164 m) My work software Ocad 9 Professional (LN 5002); AZV 4.2 - for proection base maps; - for work with GPS My mapping script Precision orienteering map.
