The Town has a new sewer system; a downtown renovation project was completed, as was the construction of two new water reservoirs. Dobson Road Bridge was replaced and the SR 21 realignment project moves forward. The municipal airport is available, with a 3000-foot runway, and has also recently undergone improvements. The new additions join our other attractions, such as the challenging nine-hole golf course, and an aquatic recreation center for all ages in our beautiful Reiman Park. The Odessa School system provides a well-rounded and successful academic environment for the students, with numerous extracurricular activities offered. Our students are quite successful in regional and state competitions. Our modern medical center includes a hospital, clinic, long-term care unit and an assisted living facility. During the year, the Town of Odessa has several functions, which draw visitors from all over. Each September the annual Deutschesfest is held offering activities and entertainment for the entire family. A Christmas Fest is held each December and the Spring Fling in April, which includes a car show and the third largest quilt show in Eastern Washington. The local Healthcare Foundation, to help support our medical facility, holds are annual wine tasting event in May. Just to the west of Odessa, the annual Desert 100 is held, an off-road motorcycle race, centered around family participation. The Odessa Public Development Authority is active, looking for new businesses for Odessa's Industrial Park just south of Odessa. The Authority is available to assist small industry or businesses in locating to our fine community.
