The gate, through which the love of the Father comes down on us, is the Heart of His Son , wounded on the cross, and the Heart has forever become the sign of inexhaustible Divine mercy. I am the gate, Jesus says, whoever enters through me will be saved ( Jn 10, 9 ). The opening of the Holy Door by the Holy Father in St. Peter's Basilica on Friday, 24 December this year for the beginning of the Great Jubilee will mark not only entering the Holy Year, but also the access to the 'flaming bonfire of love' of God's Heart . The wonderful litany to Jesus' Heart consists of many exclamations of amazement, which evokes the riches of Christ's Heart , which is especially rich in mercy. B efore repeated depressed human hearts, before tried humanity stands wonded by the warrior's spear Heart of God-Man , opened for everyone, who will open oneself before it. The pierced Heart of the Saviour has always impelled people to honour His infinite love, with which He has loved us, the sinners. * * * /\ \/ Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine 3.2 UK RU PL O n June 16, 2000 125 years will pass from the day when the archbishop Francisk Csavery VIEZHKHLIEJSKY devoted and donated the Metropolis of Lviv to the Sacred Heart of Jesus . D uring the celebration of the 1900 jubilee year as the Holy Year of Salvation, Pope Leo XIII turned to believers, 'And therefore we encourage and call to everyone, who knows and loves this Sacred Heart , to devote oneself to it. We are eagerly striving that everyone would do it simultaneously on the same day. We are longing that expressions of devotion of thousands of hearts, that make the same promises, would simultaneously go up to the heaver' ( Annum sacrum 13 ). T he divine service to Jesus' Heart has already brought famous generous spiritual fruits. Participation in the Holy Hour, Confession and the Blessed Sacrament on the first Friday of the month induced a lot of generations to more intensive prayer, to a frequent participation in the Sacraments of Penance and Holy Eucharist . N owadays, the devotion to the Sacred Heart has decreased in the religious consciousness of some modern Catholics, especially the young ones. That is why today we again need to look 'at the One , who was pierced through' and in the side of Christ which was pierced by the soldier’s spear to read the truth about God's love for people which is mentioned many times in the Holy Scripture . * * * /\ \/ Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine 3.2 UK RU PL T he word 'heart' in most of cultures outlines the spiritual riches of man, the concentration of spirit in the body. The meaning of heart expresses the person, it form the centre of personality. The Bible treats heart not in the biological function, but as the concentration of Jesus Christ's personality, it says about his whole spiritual internal world, expresses humanity of God in Jesus Christ . J esus' Heart is the absolute devotion in the sacrificial love to the Heavenly Father as well as the infinite love to us, people. T he worship to Jesus' Heart gives us the possibility to set up a peculiar connection with the Person of Heavenly Master and with that, what is so finely humane in It . T he Heart of the Son of God says to us with the fulness of affection. The fathers of Christian East and West saw the beginning of our salvation, the fruits of God's love to people in the Heart of the Incarnated Word . T he tradition of Doctors of the Church of the first centuries sees the symbol of new Adam in the opened side of Jesus Christ . Both bride Eva appeared from the rib of sleeping Adam and on the cross from the opened side of Christ , Who slept, the Church was born, His Bride, the mother of new God's children, born in the baptism. Let's remind ourselves that the external symbol of the message from the blessed sister Paustina is the icon of Jesus Christ with two beams, which come from the pierced, invisible in the icon, Heart , and which mean the Holy Sacraments and the whole Church, born from the wound of the Saviour's side. * * * /\ \/ Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine 3.2 UK RU PL W hat forms and in what consists the true devoutness to Jesus' Heart ? It must be the answer to His love, devotion to it as St. Augustin expressed it, 'The measure of love to God is to love Him without measure'. The special expression of this generation is the act of intronization, that is the recognition of the highest power of Jesus' Heart , the election of Christ as King and Lord . To intronize means to put somebody on the throne. F or the reign of Christ in society and families to be began and for His Personality and His Gospel to be put into life, the practice of devotion of oneself to God's Heart has been expanding, and this practice shows in the solemn placing of the icon of God's Heart on the most honoured place at home, which is the confirmation of the proper love from a man. S piritual preparation precedes the devotion of the whole family to Jesus' Heart . Beforehand the members of family takes part in the Blessed Sacraments. A s a result, the unity of family with Christ is strengthening, which appears in more love to Him , and also in fulfilling of His will. With the help of these practices we strengthen the Kingdom of Jesus' Heart , for we evangelize the family, which is the main community, the bonfire of love as well as the guard of moral and religious values. Intronization should get the whole society for Jesus , introducing Him where life is born - to the familybonfires. T he more devisions in human society exist, the more love is needed, love which connects, wnites, and builds consent and new order. T the practice of devotion to the Sacred Heart has nobling impact on individual souls; Jesus' Heart works indefatigably upon our hearts. A new form of a man in accordance with God's Heart is beeing formed through the personal devotion, the devotion of families and the whole communities: parishes, dioceses, countries. * * * /\ \/ Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine 3.2 UK RU PL T oday, when Church and the whole world is standing on the threshold of the new century and the third millenium, the devotion to God's Heart gains a new light. In the jubilee bimillenary year, we are striving to put in a strong connection with God's Heart . Nowadays, the Saviour's Heart is the sign of Providence as well as the sign of revival and salvation. W ith the help of printed materials, concerning God's Heart , with the help of intronizating recollections and ?äåâ'ÿòíèöü? we prepare a throne for Jesus in our hearts and in our life for He would be our Lord and King 'yesterday, today, and forever'. God loves us, God has Heart , overfilled with love to a man ! And there are so many the sad, in despair, innerly wrecked ! T he holy bimillenary year is the time of kindness and mercy. Thus we turn to everybody with the words of the Holy Father : 'Open your door to the Saviour '. Let Jesus come to every family in the Holy Sacraments and in the icon - the visible sign of His reign. Let Jesus become the source of hope and spiritual strength for us. So take our pastoral blessing for this great cause of unity of all the believers of our dioceses, parishes, and families with Christ , Who has got alive, kind Heart .
