The National Joint Stock Insurance Company ŤOrantať was founded on November 25, 1921. Since then and till 1993 the Company was known under the name of ŤUkrderzhstrakhť. At any time that organization played an undoubtedly important part in the life of society, being engaged in satisfying social and economic demands of the most general public. During its many years' history the Company has gained high prestige and special confidence of its customers. Several generations associate the name of the Company with guaranteed protection and honesty. The Company went through the change of its name (1993) and pattern of ownership (1993-1996), remaining the leader of the insurance market of Ukraine to this very day. The end of privatization of the NJSIC ŤOrantať gave rise to many progressive changes in the Company itself. The change of the pattern of ownership of the NJSIC ŤOrantať made for the replenishment of the shareholders' composition with a private investor, who brought to the Company new modern methods of management and conducting business. The Company carries out expansion on the insurance market with attraction of investment funds. In addition to strengthening its positions in traditional segments, recently the NJSIC ŤOrantať actively enters the market of major cities, masters new insurance products, particularly insurance of hunting weapons, agricultural enterprises, hazardous cargoes etc. The Company not only was the first to obtain licenses to these kinds of insurance, but also actively implements them in practice. During the first period of privatisation which was finished in 2001 the operations of NJSIC ŤOrantať acquired the market oriented character. A fact that the direction is correct was confirmed by the stable positive growth of the company indexes, which continued in 2003 after its scaled restructurization. As of today NJSIC ŤOrantať is a powerful organization which has the largest representative network and provides exceptional accessibility of insurance services to widest sections of the population. In 2003 the company continues to firmly occupy the position of an exceptional legislative observance, honesty and integrity in its relationships wits the clients. This allowed the company not only to overcome the difficulties but also secure the growth of major company s financials in 2003. Today we offer the market and consumers a new face of ŤOrantať, preserving good traditions of special concern for customers. The NJSIC ŤOrantať's offer on the market is over 50 kinds of insurance, which satisfy requirements of practically all the categories of customers. The agents' network of the NJSIC ŤOrantať is the most developed one in the country, it consists of about 7 thousands of employees, 535 representations, including 27 regional offices and 508 affiliates, agencies and branches all over Ukraine. But above all indices is the Company's customers' opinion, who are the ones to give the most truthful information about the NJSIC ŤOrantať. In 2003 structural departments of ŤOrantať signed more than 12.4 million contracts of voluntary and compulsory insurance types. They are our countrymen, who know what misfortunes, fraud and unbelief is. It is these experienced people that have confidence in the good name of ŤOrantať.
