A specification to any patent (declaration patent) for invention (utility model) is an exhaustive source of information about the invention (utility model) being the subject thereof.

 

It should contain bibliographic data, the description itself, claims of invention (utility model) as well as any drawings being referred to in the description. The description should disclose the subject-matter of the invention (utility model) and confirm the scope of legal protection defined by the claims declared with respect to this invention (utility model).

In accordance with part 2 of Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine “On Protection of Rights to Inventions and Utility Models” the Department shall publish such patent (declaration patent) specification.

Patent specifications are subject to free delivery to the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine, State Scientific Medical Library as well as to every regional Scientific and Technical Information Center over Ukraine under the Law of Ukraine of April 9, 1999 No 595-Õ²V “On Obligatory Copy of Documents”.

Patent specifications are also supplied to the Public Patent Documents Collection (PPDC).
