International Videoconference on issues of Public Healthcare

The Videoconference is hold in the frame of distance learning course of the World Bank Institute “Health Outcomes and the Poor” developed by the World Bank Institute professionals in Public Health, Nutritionists, Physicians, Health Economics and partners at WHO and UNICEF. Course materials contain widespread contemporary experience in Healthcare.

Participants of the videoconference: are the World Bank Institute professionals (USA), graduates of the course (Sri Lanka), representatives of government agencies, educational institutions and international organizations (Ukraine).

The following questions will be suggested for discussion:

• Criteria of the effectiveness evaluation of the public policy in the Healthcare.
• Improvement of the Healthcare financing in terms of providing fair and equal access to the medical services for different public groups.
• Citizenry role in the development and implementation of public policy in the Healthcare sphere.

The Videoconference will be hold on December 10, 2004 14.00 - 17.00 in the Distance Learning Center: 20 Eugene Pottier Str., Kyiv, The National Academy of Public Administration, the President of Ukraine, 4 floor.
