Import into Ukraine, export from Ukraine and transit through the territory of Ukraine of the separate kinds of goods maybe prohibited by the Law of Ukraine.
The following goods cannot be admitted through the customs border of Ukraine:
Cultural values are forbidden for transference through the customs border of Ukraine via international mail.
The decision of the customs bodies concerning prohibition or permission of the specific goods transference through the customs border of Ukraine maybe appealed to court.
Customs registration begins after a declarant has presented customs declaration and all information regarding goods and transport means subject to customs registration necessary for customs control and registration of the documents to the customs officer.
As declarants might be the organizations or citizens possessing goods and transport means that are transferred through the customs border of Ukraine or customs brokers (agents) authorized by them.
As declarants of goods and transport means which belong to the citizens might be the citizens authorized by the owners of the aforementioned goods and means of transport to carry out declaring notarially.
Evidence of acceptance of goods, transport means and documents necessary for customs control and customs registration by the customs body is making the corresponding notes in the customs declaration and shipping documents.
Customs registration is considered to be completed when customs procedures determined by the customs body on the grounds of Customs Code of Ukraine in accordance with the declared customs regime are completed.
