Note. Originals of personal documents or their notarized copies assigned for export or consignment abroad in an open mail items should be legalized (for those countries which require such legalization) in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Consignments of printed and audiovisual materials are admitted through the state border of Ukraine in accordance with the existing rules of cargo admittance with registration of the corresponding documents.
When exporting materials abroad in accordance with permissions of the ministries, departments, organizations and institutions, Governmental Committee on Export Control, State Control Service for transference of cultural values through the state border of Ukraine under Ministry of Culture and Arts of Ukraine, the abovementioned materials are presented to the customs institutions for check beforehand. In case such licenses or permits are absent and there is no possibility for customs officers to take the decision regarding the possibility of export abroad of such materials (from the point of observance of economic, scientific and technical, defence and other interests of the country) those materials may be detained for the period of consultations with the bodies of State Committee of Secrets or other interested organizations.
