All goods and means of transport that are transferred through the customs border of Ukraine are subject to customs control.
Customs control provides for minimum of customs procedures necessary for provision of observance of legislation of Ukraine on customs issues. The scope of such procedures and the order of their use are determined in accordance with Customs Code of Ukraine, other normative and legal documents as well as international treaties of Ukraine signed in accordance with the established procedure.
Depending on availability of a carrier, sender, recipient and an agreement on transportation goods are transferred as:
Goods and means of transport are under customs control from the beginning to the end according to the customs procedure.
When goods and means of transport are imported into Ukraine customs control begins from the moment of crossing the customs border of Ukraine.
When goods and means of transport are exported from Ukraine customs control begins from the moment of goods and transport means presenting for the customs registration and their declaring in accordance with the procedure established by the Customs Code of Ukraine.
Duration of stay of goods and transport means under customs control in the customs control area at the customs border of Ukraine is determined according to the technological scheme of admittance of persons, goods and transport means through the customs border.
