Our sample includes BRICs (Brazil, Russia, India and China) and several other developing countries, which we think could be interesting for marketers and investors. All reputable economists agree now that the future is in the Emerging Markets. These markets already are the main source of economic growth in the modern world and their role is projected to increase significantly in the next 20 years. In 2005 the emerging market countries achieved a total real growth rate of 7.2% while the advanced economies’ GDP increased by only 2.7% (IMF World Economic Outlook 2006). The recent report of PricewaterhouseCoopers concludes that the seven largest emerging economies (E7: China, India, Brazil, Russia, Indonesia, Mexico and Turkey) will by 2050 be around 25% larger than the current G7 when measured in current dollar terms or around 75% larger in PPP terms. Goldman Sachs forecasts that BRIC countries will have higher GDP than G7 by 2041. This website is a non-commercial project, which aim is to provide information and data to all researchers and managers who operate in the emerging markets or plan to start working here.
